After graduating with a degree in film & television from New York University, I went on to get my Masters in Cinema Studies from SCAD.
Now, I use my textual understanding of film alongside my craft—utilizing my specialty in fx and writing to expand project potential.
Fx/art/Makeup
My primary focus is in the world of FX and art. I have experience in prop fabrication, particularly items on the more macabre side of cinema. Corpses, strange relics, weapons, or monster memorabilia are my specialties.
In addition to fabrication, I’ve worked as a production designer on two short films, one of which was a indigenous horror story and the other a period western. Fabrication only takes you so far in the art department, and as such, I’ve developed a system for research, sourcing, and designing the look of a project.
writing/directing
Since graduating with a BFA, I have written/produced/directed three micro-budget feature films, six short films, four video essays, three music videos, and one promotion.
My projects come with a distinct tone. I like leaning into absurd and FX-oriented scenarios, but I won’t shy away from a challenge in my usual voice. I’ve worked on high-concept dramas and documentary-thrillers.
Misc. Production work
I’ve floated around from department to department in the film industry. I’m familiar with camera, locations, production, and post-production as well. I’m happy to fill a hole in a crew wherever someone’s needed.
